This is what I have been creating in the electronic genre
I am finding my creative voice again and have made some observations in the process.
For me, creative expression is an end in itself. I have as much joy in the work of writing, playing and recording as seeing the end result.
The outcome of creative work can sometimes disappoint. I overthink that it might not be good enough or never be “just right.” But when I get lost in the moment, I can see the beauty right in front of me.
In my previous life, I wrote a lot of music. The final project at the end of that season was a compilation titled Fresh Bread Vol 1. I remember thinking as we titled it Volume 1, there would be more than one. It took 15 years, but Volume 2 is now coming to life.
iI don’t know if they’re any good or not, but that’s not the point. It’s less about the final sounds and the individual songs and more about feeling the freedom to create again.
And if the heart isn’t free, how can it create?
